A bit about the pattern ...

Double Win is a striking mosaic knit shawl that embodies the joy of community, creativity, and connection.

This rectangular shawl with gently flared ends weaves together two contrasting colors, each playing a vital role in creating bold, eye-catching patterns with simple slipped stitches.

The result? A cozy, wearable piece that looks intricate but is easy and satisfying to knit.

The pattern includes:

• Fully written instructions

• A chart for the repeat

• A stitch count table to help knitters stay on track - This is really handy for knitting on the go!

The Double Win Mosaic Shawl was designed using 3 skeins of Light Fingering Weight Yarn (75% Superwash Merino Wool, 25% Nylon); 462 yards/422 meters per 100 grams) in 2 contrasting colors from Bad Sheep Yarn (affiliate link):

Color A (light): 1 skein in Sea Glass

Color B (dark): 2 skeins in Impressions

Experience the perfect balance of strength, softness, and versatility with this yarn spun from a blend of 75% Superwash Merino wool and 25% Nylon.

Thanks to its superwash treatment, it's easy to care for and resists felting, while the nylon adds strength and stretch to keep your handmade items in excellent condition.

Combine solid, speckle, gentle tonal, or long gradient yarns that coordinate but aren’t too perfectly matched so the mosaic stitches will shine. Sharply variegated colorways are not recommended for this design.

A KAL is short for knit-along. It's a group activity, where a group of knitters are working the same pattern at the same time. It is a great way to work on a pattern in community with the support of both the designer and other knitters. I'll be there to guide you every step of the way! 🤗

How much does the Double Win Shawl KAL cost?

The knit along events are free to attend. 🎉

You only need to have purchased the pattern from me on Ravelry or Payhip (or received it from your LYS for LYS Day).

The point is for everyone to join in the fun, feel welcomed into our community, and knit along together while learning to knit the Double Win Mosaic Shawl!

What if I need help in between our Zoom sessions?

There are video tutorials to help you through knitting your Double Win Shawl that you can watch on-demand any time you want. I'll go through them with you during our Cast-On Party.

For on-going support during the KAL & beyond, please join my Free Facebook Community group:

Will the Zoom sessions be recorded?

The Kick-Off Party will be recorded and emailed to those who have signed up for the KAL emails by filling out the form above. Only those on my email list will receive the replay link.

The Knit Nights on Zoom will not be recorded so we can connect authentically, while spending some time getting to know one another.

Is the project difficult to knit? What skills and techniques are used?

The Double Win Mosaic Shawl is not difficult to knit, and you are likely familiar with the concepts used to create this pattern. Tutorial videos will be included for each of these stitches with those who sign up for the KAL.

We'll use these stitches:

• Long Tail Cast-On

• Stitches Used: knit, purl, slip with yarn in back, slip with yarn in front, and binding off.

Note: Lifelines are always great to use when knitting a large project, though this is not written into the pattern.
