What do current members

love about the Stitch Society?

“Jessica has done an amazing job providing a much needed community and continuing to inspire knitters. She is so kind and so sweet and it comes through so clearly in everything you do.

I've done a lot of classes, retreats etc. but I truly feel that you have done more to improve my knitting than anything else. Jessica's patterns are so clear and easy to follow. I've been able to finally able to transition over to knitting with charts and it's made a world of difference. It's reduced the counting and often helps to prevent mistakes while also helping me to recognize and correct them much sooner.

Jessica, you've been such a blessing.”

— Frances

“I love the Zoom Chats with other members. Also the Workshops.”

Frequently Asked Questions:

Is the Stitch Society right for me if I'm a beginner?

Yes! I’m happy to provide support if you happen to get stuck on a stitch or technique that’s new to you! Some experience is recommended, such as knowing the basic stitches (knits and purls for knitters, single crochet, double crochet, etc. for crocheters)

Is the Stitch Society right for me if I'm already a great knitters/crocheter, and confident in my skills?

I hope so! Our members skill levels vary greatly, and my goal is for the Stitch Society to be a fun and enjoyable and welcoming community where you can play with what you already know and maybe pick up a tip or trick you hadn’t considered before.

You’ll also be treated to a new pattern every month, virtual coffee chats over Zoom, interviews with some of my favorite people in the fiber industry, and free tickets to workshops I teach online.

Will I need a lot of fancy computer skills?

My goal is to keep everything as simple as possible.

Our live events take place in our Facebook Group or on Zoom, and can be accessed from a mobile phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer.

Patterns are delivered as PDFs, typically sent right to your Ravelry Library unless you’d prefer them emailed to you directly.

There are no fancy tools, apps, or computer programs to purchase.

If you have any questions or feel lost, just reach out for help and I’ll walk you through it all.

Do I have to use Facebook?

I built our Member Classroom as a place where you can access almost all content without needing to use Facebook.

Our Stitch Sessions are held on twice a month on Zoom.

Our Fiber Friends interviews are shown live on Facebook. The replay will be added to our Member Classroom so you can watch the replay without needing to use Facebook.

The only feature you definitely need Facebook for is our private members-only community group, which is a bonus of the membership that you are not required to use.

Are the patterns Tech Edited and tested by other knitters?

Yes! It is such a valuable part of the designing process for me. Your yarnie time should be enjoyable!

I use a professional Tech Editor who has super powers. She puts herself in your shoes, to find any tricky bits that may be unclear and help make the pattern as easy to follow as possible.

I also have a team of over 50 pattern testers, who’s skill levels vary from beginner to advanced.

What if I don't use Ravelry? Will I still get the free pattern each month?

Yes, absolutely! Each month you’ll receive an email from me with access to your pattern download.

If you do use Ravelry and share your ID with me, I will add the monthly pattern to your Pattern Library there too.

How long will I get this membership price? Will the price ever change?

When you lock in this low price, it will never go up as long as your account is in good standing with no break in membership.

If you cancel your membership and would like to join again, it will be at the current price at that time.

When are the live events?

I like to vary the days and times to hopefully accommodate as many members as possible. I also have a survey that I share with members to find out what days/times are best for them so I can take that into account when planning future dates.

Our Fiber Friends Chats with my favorite people in the yarnie world are often during the daytime. Most have been sometime between 11 AM Eastern to 5:00 PM Eastern, and that also depends on where they live too. These Fiber Friends Chats are recorded and available to watch as replays any time, either in our private Facebook Group or in our Membership Classroom.

Our Stitch Sessions (aka Coffee Chats) are held on Zoom.

Are there replays for the live events?

All Fiber Friends Chats are recorded, and available to watch in the private facebook group and the membership classroom.

Our Stitch Sessions on Zoom are not recorded, to grant privacy to the members so they can share what’s on their mind without worry about anyone else watching it. I want members to feel comfortable turning their cameras on amongst friends, and to be genuine and authentic … and come in their most comfy clothes, joining from their favorite comfy chair!

What is the refund policy?

You may cancel your monthly membership at any time by emailing hello@doublethestitches.com giving 10 DAYS NOTICE to cancel your account.

For annual memberships, you may cancel your membership at any time, meaning it will not renew after the initial 12 months. I do not offer refunds on annual membership subscriptions.

Due to the nature of a digital membership, I am not able to offer a return or refund. Thank you for understanding.

I have a question that isn't answered here.

You may contact me at hello@doublethestitches.com with any other questions. I would love to chat with you and am happy to answer any questions you have.
