The Variations Hat is quick and easy to knit chunky hat that’s designed to give you a variety of brim options while remaining your go-to pattern for that favorite last-minute gift we’ve all found ourselves working on in the 11th hour! The Classic Ribbed Brim is perfect for your first hat, and as you get more comfortable you have the option to branch out to expand your choices with other simple textures to create different styles. Pattern includes 4 brim stitch patterns and 3 sizes: Newborn, Child, and Adult.

Bulky Weight Yarn: 25 – 100 yards (23 – 91 m)
Sample Uses: Ella Rae Chunky Merino Superwash
(100% Superwash Merino Wool; 136 yards (124 meters per 100 grams/3.5 ounces)
US 10½ – 6.5 mm Circular Needles – 12″ to 16″ depending on size
US 10½ – 6.5 mm Double Pointed Needles
1 Stitch Marker (to mark the beginning of round)
15 stitches in 4 inches worked in stockinette stitch
To save time and ensure your project is correct, check your gauge!
If fewer stitches, use a thinner needle and if more use a thicker needle.
