Hi, I'm Jessica, the designer and instructor behind Double the Stitches!
I'll be honest with you … socks intimidated me too. For a long time, I put them off, convinced they were for “serious” knitters who somehow just got it. When I finally dove in, I made plenty of mistakes, frogged more than I'd like to admit, and wished more than once that someone would just slow down and explain things clearly.
That experience is exactly why I designed this challenge the way I did. I know where the tricky parts are, because I've been stuck there myself.
Today I'm a knitwear designer with a community of thousands of knitters, and my favorite thing in the world is helping knitters like you build real, lasting confidence, one stitch at a time.

How do I access the lessons?
All lessons are available in the Double the Stitches workshop classroom, to watch on-demand, at your own pace and on your own schedule.
How will I get the pattern?
The Tiny Treasures Mini Stocking pattern is in your classroom as a PDF file. It is included with the challenge at no additional cost.
Do I need special yarn?
You do NOT need special yarn! You can use any scrap yarn you have on hand. For a mini stocking the same size as mine, you'll want to use worsted weight yarn (craft yarn council category 4).
You will need to use circular needles, but any type or brand are fine. Use what you're comfortable with:
• Double-Pointed Needles
• Circular Needle with a flexible long cord for Magic Loop
• 2 Circular Needles
• Flexi Flips
Will I need to use special computer programs?
You will not need a lot of fancy computer skills!
• The workshop materials, patterns, and printable resources will be available as downloadable PDF files.
• The video lessons will be available to watch in the web-based classroom. You can watch them on a desktop computer, laptop, tablet, iPad, or mobile device. The larger the screen, the easier it will be to follow along.

Who is this challenge NOT for?
This challenge is designed for knitters who are comfortable with knit and purl stitches and have completed at least one project that is knit in the round.
If you're brand new to knitting, I'd recommend building those basics first and coming back to this one.
