LYS Day 2026 is almost here, and once again I'm celebrating all the things that I cherish most about Local Yarn Shops. These intimate spaces serve as a gathering space for all those with a love and passion for the fiber community.
Local Yarn Store Day is a brick-and-mortar yarn shop appreciation day created by TNNA members.
The 8th Annual LYS Day will take place the weekend of Saturday, April 25th, and is designed to show support for small businesses while bringing together a unique community of knitters, crocheters, weavers and spinners to drive awareness and celebrate the craft.
Vendors and retailers alike are coming together to showcase the benefits of locally owned yarn stores through an array of special products, classes, and more, and I'm so proud to be one of them!
To support all the wonderful Local Yarn Stores, the Treasured Skein Scarfette pattern will be FREE with the purchase of the yarn to make it the weekend of LYS Day – Saturday, April 26th and Sunday, April 27th – from participating yarn shops.

My goal with this event is to support Local Yarn Stores by providing a free pattern to encourage knitters to shop during this special weekend.
The free pattern codes are ONLY available from participating Local Yarn Stores on the list above during the weekend of Friday, 4/24 – Sunday, 4/26.
