This summer, become the knitter who confidently tackles new techniques!
Join me for a 4-week challenge from June 22 – July 18
Pick a skill you've been putting off, follow a step-by-step workshop, and finish a project you're proud of.
And do it alongside a community that will cheer you on every stitch of the way.
The Summer of Skills Challenge is happening inside Stitch Society.
You've got yarn in your stash, beautiful patterns saved in your Ravelry favorites, and a whole list of techniques you've been meaning to try.

But every time you sit down to cast on, something stops you …
Maybe it's the fear of making a mistake you can't fix. Maybe lace feels too intimidating, or brioche looks like it has its own secret language. Maybe you've watched a YouTube video three times and still feel lost.
Imagine getting to the end of the summer and realizing …
✅ You finally knit your first colorwork project
✅ Those lace patterns don't feel so intimidating anymore
✅ You're already planning what skill you'll tackle next
Plus … you've made new yarnie friends who cheer you on!
Because confidence doesn't come from watching another tutorial. It comes from actually doing the thing.
Introducing the …

June 22 – July 18, 2026
4 weeks of yarnie fun
Only inside the Stitch Society!
Here's how it works:
1️⃣ You'll choose a technique you've been wanting to learn this summer. Inside the Stitch Society community, you'll find fellow knitters working on learning the same skills!
2️⃣ Work through a workshop from your on-demand library at your own pace – then cast on and complete the small project included with the workshop!
3️⃣ Share your progress in our warm, supportive community – it's the perfect place for accountability and to get help if you find yourself feeling stuck along the way.
Every new completed project earns you an entry in the prize giveaways! 🎉
Just you, your needles, and a community of knitters cheering you on every single stitch of the way.
🥳 Join us for the Summer of Skills Kick Off Party!
Monday, June 22 at 11 AM ET on Zoom
During our Kick Off Party, I'll walk you through all of the workshops so you can find the perfect fit if you haven't decided yet. You'll also get to meet fellow knitters who are working toward the same goals … and trust me, knitting alongside people who get it makes ALL the difference. 💛
Can't make it live? A replay will be available!
Pick your Technique (or more than one! )
You'll start by picking the one thing you're most excited to learn … they're all listed below!
Can't decide which one? Choose the technique you've been putting off the longest.
The one you've always wanted to learn but haven't quite worked up the courage to try yet.
This summer, let's change that. ☀️
And if you're feeling ambitious, you can complete multiple workshops during the challenge… and earn an extra prize entry for each one that you finish! 🎉
🌈 Colorwork
For the knitter who's been staring at gorgeous colorful knitting projects, wondering “could I actually do that?”
Choose from these workshops:
Fair Isle Fundamentals:
Learn to carry two colors across your work and create those gorgeous stranded patterns you've admired. You'll finish with a sweet colorwork project and the confidence to tackle any two-color pattern. Plus, you'll learn steeking and picking up stitches for a button band!
aMAZEing Mosaic Knitting Challenge:
Mosaic is the magic trick of colorwork — one color at a time, but the result looks like you were juggling both. Perfect if stranded feels intimidating but you still want that colorwork look!
Double Dare: Double Knitting:
Two layers of fabric, two colors, one needle. It sounds wild but it's more logical than it looks. You'll end up with a reversible project and a very impressive new skill. 🎉
🪢 Texture
For the knitter who wants to add gorgeous dimension to their projects but isn't sure where to start.
Choose from these workshops:
Beginner's Guide to Lace Knitting:
Lace is just yarn overs and decreases — that's it! This workshop breaks it all the way down so you can finally make those delicate, airy patterns you've had pinned forever.
Conquer Cable Knitting:
Cables are one of those techniques that look WAY harder than they actually are. Once you understand what's really happening, you'll want to put cables on everything.
A Taste of Brioche Knitting:
Squishy, stretchy, and completely addictive. Brioche has its own little language, and this workshop is your translator. Fair warning: you will want to brioche all the things.
🧦 Socks
For the knitter who's been saying “I want to try socks!” for way too long. This is your sign to cast on and finally start!
Choose from these workshops:
Tiny Treasures: From the Toe Up:
Start at the toe and work your way up! These mini socks are the cutest way to try sock knitting without committing to a full-size project. Great for finally using up those single skeins of sock yarn!
Tiny Treasures: From the Cuff Down:
The classic way to knit a sock, starting at the cuff and working down. If you've always wanted to try the traditional method, this is your moment.

Here's what members are saying:
"I have learned so much from my Stitch Society membership, both through classes and the social knitting events. I am a long-time wanna-be knitter - only made scarves, cowls and hats - always pretty simple in the past. Jessica is very patient and has excellent videos to accompany her patterns and classes. I highly recommend it."
- Kate O.
"I have said it before and I will say it again — Jessica is THE BEST teacher! She is patient and very student-oriented and will always show both Continental and English ways to knit new skills."
- Danna W.
"There are so many classes on the site and Jessica is a fantastic teacher. She is patient, kind and knowledgeable. And when I have joined the lives, I'm impressed - it's not just about chatting but learning. Everyone is so kind and helpful."
- Mary M.
"Jessica is an awesome teacher. She takes time to answer your questions and make videos for it. And members are there to help too and cheer on your progress!"
- Francine F.
"It's the most friendly, encouraging and supportive group. Jessica is a very kind, friendly and patient teacher. The classroom has so many resources, classes and videos."
- Leslie M.

I'm a knitwear designer and the founder of Double the Stitches and the host of the Stitch Society – my warm, supportive online community for confident beginners and adventurous knitters who want to grow their skills without the stress.
I created the Stitch Society because I believe knitting should be joyful, not intimidating.
Every technique that feels scary right now? I promise it's learnable. And it's so much more fun when you have a community – and a patient teacher – by your side.
The Summer of Skills Challenge is one of my favorite things I've ever created inside this membership.
I can't wait to knit alongside you this summer.
